Meeting Of The Minds

The first collaborative effort of Sox and Freeman’s tree climbers and the crew of the City of Columbia South Carolina’s Rescue One was a huge success! A special thanks is due to Battalion Chief of Special Operations, Jason Krusen and Sox and Freeman’s Certified Tree Safety Professional, Daniel Hunsucker for coordinating this event.

The tree climbing arborists of Sox and Freeman and the firefighters of Rescue One Columbia SC spent the day evaluating and practicing rescue scenarios for individuals injured and stranded aloft in a tree. They evaluated risks of tree rescue and practiced techniques used to get an injured person safely to the ground.

When the day was done, handshakes were shared, friendships were formed, and professionals from two different walks of life left better equipped to keep people in trees safe.
